Jean Touitou founded A.P.C. in France in 1987. Its first well-known piece—a classic pair of jeans in raw denim—encapsulates its philosophy: A.P.C. elevates timeless and essential staples—the blue jeans, the white tee, the beige trench—with classic and noble materials, effortless French elegance, and thoughtful minimalist design. A diverse roster of collaborators—including Kid Cudi, Suzanne Koller, and Brain Dead—keeps its offering fresh and contemporary. A.P.C. established its archive in Paris in 2011 and published “Transmission,” a chronicle of its first three decades of history, in 2017.
