ACNE STUDIOS
Acne Studios is a multidisciplinary luxury fashion house based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Initially an acronym for “Associated Computer Nerd Enterprises”, ACNE later came to stand for “Ambition to Create Novel Expressions”.
It was founded in 1996 by Creative Director Jonny Johannson as part of the ACNE creative collective, which worked in graphic design, film, production, and advertising.
In 2006, Acne Studios became a standalone company, breaking away from other entities within the ACNE collective such as Acne Film, Acne Advertising, and Acne Digital.
Acne Studios has collaborated widely with other industry creatives to produce limited edition collections, partnering with Bianchi Bicycles, Lanvin, Liberty London, Peter Schlesinger, and Jack Pierson, among others.
