MAISON MARGIELA
Martin Margiela founded his eponymous brand in France in 1988. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Margiela is an exponent of the radical fashion produced in Belgium in the 1980s. Maison Margiela is admired for its avant-garde designs, using deconstructed shapes and unconventional materials. The brand is also known for the unusual settings of its fashion shows, which have included metro stations and street corners. John Galliano took over the brand in 2015 and has maintained its vocation for exploration and experimentation.
