Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez founded Proenza Schouler in New York in 2002. They met while studying fashion at Parson’s and created their thesis collection together. Barneys bought the entire set immediately after its presentation, and the duo went on to become a leading force in American fashion, producing refined but accessible womenswear and accessories. Barneys relaunched their first collection in 2013, ten years after its creation, proving its timelessness. Proenza Schouler has received five CFDA awards, the Accessory Designer of the Year award in 2009, and the Womenswear Designer of the Year award in 2007, 2011, and 2013.
