Demna Gvasalia and Guram Gvasalia founded Vetements in 2014. cAlthough headquartered in Zürich and showcased in Paris, and connected to global contemporary aesthetics, Vetements also reflects its founders’ origins in Georgia and Russia. The brand is maintained by a collective of friends who were educated at the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp and worked for brands like Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, and Céline. Vetements has collaborated with a range of brands, including Levi’s, Champion, Reebok, Brioni, Carhartt, and Umbro. It has also partnered with DHL, producing t-shirts with its typographic logo and striking yellow.
